Thetford forest in Norfolk is quite good but apart from that there isnt many specialised areas for mountain biking round here (if your talking mountain biking rather than road cycling).
I live in Norwich & do most of my riding in smaller wooded areas that there are quite a few of round here but as there used by kids & dog walkers etc you cant go too mad.
Best bet is too look around where your staying for the smaller friendly independant bike shops as they can point you to local areas or put you in contact with local riders.

there are hills but its a matter of local knowledge to find them.

i do a lot of my riding in suffolk, north essex, and south norfolk, so perhaps i could suggest something if youre going to be staying in that area.

I lived near Norwich for 7 years, I know the topography very well. Hence the-

On a more serious note, try the Forestry Commission Website, click on the link for Mountain Biking and Cycling and search on East Anglia. Routes are graded Easy (pretty level) Right Through to Severe (ditch the family, off-road with serious drop-offs).
