Default Veni vidi Vinokourov

So far this year, it's easy to pick some cyclists having great seasons. Boonen, obviously, and also Botero, Di Luca, and Hincapie. And Julich and Voigt. I've especially enjoyed Vino riding some awesome races. I would have prefered Voigt get the win at L-B-L just because he's long been one of my favorite riders in the peloton (and because he seemed to do some huge pulls and counter Vino's attack on the penultimate climb), but I can't complain with Vino winning and then throwing in some awesome rides at the D-L. Vino's showed up at races, raced hard, got some well deserved wins, and is set to go into the Tour confident and strong.

This has been one of my favorite seasons in years. Great racing, great races, and some really classy riders coming through.

Oh, and I really wanted to use that title.

Savoldelli, naturally. Wonderful he's now on LA's team and shows TM it's not the cyclist, it's them. (I understand Paolo was injured during TM perod, etc.)

I agree, this season has been very very interesting so far.
I was always impressed by Vino and his way of racing.
He's a tough hombre.

The Giro for me was superb.
I was very impressed with Saldovelli's ability to win - despite having little or no team support.

Basso's willingness to continue on despite having one terrible day when he lost 40+ minutes.
Voigt and Julich too.
Great season so far !

Now how often do you think we'd see that if he won the tour?
