Is it only me or nobody else notices this. I just bought June Cycle Sport magazine and on the front page there is a picture of Damiano Cunego with some pills under the shorts
. I have noticed a number of pictures in this and other magazines with riders having pills hidden under the shorts (for example Ludo Diercxsens, David Rebellin) during the races. In case you don’t know these pills are there just in case he places well at the end of a race and knows he has to go for a doping control. That’s when they take these pills to cover any traces of what ever they took before. Sometimes they take them even before the finish. It is very important to take them as soon as possible, but not too soon, to have more time before they can effectively hide the effect of the drugs when he provides his urine (or blood). I wonder why nobody reacts to this “pills under shorts” practice!? Zdenko. |

Where exactly are these pills? I am looking at the picture and I see a bump that looks like his shorts scrunching up. Looking at other pictures in the article it appears that either he has an amazing ability to put the pills in precisely the same spot every day or it's merely his shorts. |

If you take Electrolyte pills during a race, it's that doping? I don't think so.
If you take carbohydrate/Energy gels during a race, it's that doping? I don't think so. I didn't so the picture, but even if there it's a pill, a pill or a gel it doesn't make a doping guilty cyclist. Just my point of view

And why not take the coverup drugs regardless of whether you win or not? Why not take them before you start, or get the insidiously corrupt team manager to put them in your water? Why put them out there for the whole world to see? And are you so desperate that you will take a pill that's been in your crotch for several hours of hard work? Yeeew - the smell alone would knock me out. There's no question that doping has gone on, and is going on today. But this is getting a bit thick... |

So Flyer, how many of these banned substances is Lance on? He's gonna win another Tour, so he must be doped! Correct??? Also, how does he keep from getting caught (please, no links to articles, just tell me in your words)! I guess Jan must have got a bad batch before the ITT on Saturday, which is why he lost. Maybe he got sugar water instead of EPO from a jaded drug dealer! I'll bet it would be tough to win 7 straight Tours on drugs, without getting caught! Seems to me like a man that almost died from cancer would be hesitant to put controversial banned substances in his body! But hey, what do I know? ![]() |
