Default Stage 18 TDF : Albi - Mende : Spoiler

Stage 18 of the TDF sees the rider travel 189km from Albi to Mende.

Mende will resonate with some forum members as the location where Jalabert
won a great stage on Bastille Day in the 1995 TDF and sent Miguel Indurain and his Banesto team in to a flurry of activity to try to minimise Jaja's break.
Indurain on that day chased but couldn't catch Jaja.

This stage is tricky : in the second half of the stage, the profile gets steadily more difficult and includes a cat 2 climb at the end.
Before that the riders will have to negotiate several short but steep climbs.

At this stage the riders are all pretty tired.

There could be some movement on GC.

I am going to open the bidding by selecting road men like Vino, Garcia Acosta,
Chavanel, Jaksche, Flecha.
I think it's a roadies stage !
(kiss of death for those names selected)
