Lightbulb Join a social ride

Hi, my wife and I have moved from Malaysia to Madrid and wish to join in a social ride in the Madrid area.
Can anyone help?
My wife is a very fast 27 year old, one of Malaysia's fastest women and would like to keep training.
Please help.

You could start by joining a city tour with these people.
http://www.bikespain.info/en/v_citytour_en.asp
They do a day and evening tour so you should meet someone with similar interests. Also, why not join a local club in Madrid such as Club Ciclista Chamartin. One of the oldest clubs formed in 1925, they organise excursions and have a membership of people from 14 to 75 years of age

Contact the Federation of Madrid Cyclists. The site has items concerning women riders.

Womens Cycling Net mentions - A new website for Spanish RR champion, Meribel Moreno, who recently peformed well in the women's Giro Donne in Italy.

Other clubs in Madrid (although many appear to be male dominated)

You can also run any web site through a translator like bable fish http://babelfish.altavista.com/
They don't do every language (Spanish is fine) and the translation you get won't be perfect, but it should help you to figure out what is going on.

Question Road Cycling in Costa Blanca Region

Hola de Colorado,

My friend and I will be heading out to the Costa Blanca Region and plan to do some road cycling. Not familiar with the great routes, we were wondering if there are any non-competitive clubs in the area that we could ride with. I speak some spanish with excellent body language skills to communicate. We will also need to rent road bikes, preferably for myself an Orbea Dama Race because I'm planning to purchase one next year. Can anyone help?

My direct email is butterfly082464@yahoo.com

Thanks for your assist.
