Default Why Armstrong Wins

Lance is the most successful Tour rider of all time because......

1. Intense desire to succeed.
2. Incredible preparation.
3. Amazing attention to detail.
4. Increible ability to focus on all details.
5. Way above average physiology, i.e low lactic acid output, high Vo2 max,etc
6. Cutting edge equipment and tech advances.
7. Great surrounding cast. From teammates, Director (Johan) etc.

Lance may be the most focused athlete of all time. Perhaps this stems from his very real, very close brush with dying that changed him. It gave him the ability to singularly focus on getting what he wants to accomplish. Lance has surrounded himself with the top people in every aspect of the race, from bikes to cooks to massuers, etc. He meticulously controls every aspect of this race. What is wrong with that? Again, this goes back to his focus, and desire ---- which culminates in his preparation, which simply put, is better than everyone elses.

1. Intense desire to succeed.-Obviously no other cyclist has this
2. Incredible preparation.-yes all other cyclists are fat lazy slobs unlike lance
3. Amazing attention to detail.-?
4. Increible ability to focus on all details.-isn't this the same as 3,are you struggling for reasons
5. Way above average physiology, i.e low lactic acid output, high Vo2 max,etc-vo2 max is lower than brad mcgees but we don't see brad climbing mountains like they are bumps
6. Cutting edge equipment and tech advances.-what? so his improvment is down to equipment? this would be a good argument if the rest of the peleton were riding on bikes from the 60s but sadly not
7. Great surrounding cast. From teammates, Director (Johan) etc.-mostly linked with drugs(Carmichael, ferrari etc....)

you're arguments are flawed, lance is a druggie FACT

he failed a test in 99 and got let off cos he produced a postdated prescription

Please correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Lance climb all the mountain stages twice before the tour starts? And wasn't this year the first time another did that - Ulrich?

Wasn't that failed test due to cortisone cream for saddle sores? And wasn't the level in his blood below the "Doping level"?

I have used cortisone cream so does that mean I'm a doper?
I carry an inhaler for my son (who has asthma) so does that make me a doper?

I'd like to see a link to show how doping causes cancer. I know DHT ( a testosterone derivitave) can accelerate prostate cancer, but what about testicular cancer? Where is the evidence Lance doped pre-cancer?

STeroids do cause liver cancer. REad the label if you ever have the chance on a box of Decca or Acetabolan...

Why Armstrongs doesn't win anymore:

He's retired!
