hey everyone.
this might sound like a dumb question. but... does anybody still use cantilevers? i'm thinking of using some on my new bike build. i know everyone is saying that v-brakes are the way to go. but i just want to be different and go old school with the whole thing. also... will cantilevers work with deore linear pull levers? how can i adjust either one(brakes and levers) to give me good performance? please help! thanks. ![]() |

Linear pull levers generally pulls more wire with less force than dedicated canti levers. If your hands are strong enough this shouldn't be a too big problem, although you will have to get used to a new rate of brake response. Quote:
The extra-cumbersome way would be to buy a couple of travel agents and mount them in reverse. |
