Default Looking for a new mountain bike

Hi

I am a newbie on the site and am looking for some buying advice.

I currently ride a Ridgeback Mr Silver full suspension that I have had for approx 5 years. The bike is used for trails in the local area which are mainly sand with a few steepish pitches and climbs. During the winter months the ground can become very muddy and therefore the bike can take a battering. The Ridgeback has been excellent and I really have not had to spend any money on it (other than routine servicing) as it seems to take everything thrown at it.
I am considering upgrading to a hard tail with budget of approx £ 600.00 or so. I have considered a Kona CinderCone but have not progressed any further than that.
I would really appreciate any suggestions for my next bike and any views on my existing bike.
Regards to all
