Default Cheap Fixie

Just went to the LBS to buy a new lockring for my old track bike and although they didn't have one on the shelf there was one on an old track bike in thier storage room.
I asked if I could have a look and the bike was my size (60cm). How much? how about $150 cash.
Blom 531 frame
Record hubs
Dura-ace track cranks
Nisi rims
Bargain !!
Needs new singles which I have ordered, so I should be on the road next week.

Cheers

Geoff

Super jealous.....the other way to find bargins (and letting you all in the secret), is to head into the country cycling shops. All of Australias best track riders come from the country.....they really are a goldmine for old track frames.

Nice one, Geoff. I paid AUD $500 for mine about 10 years ago (bike's still going, but getting a little shagged now).

That's awesome.

Conversely, I went into a bike store and saw some old dura-ace pedals from the 80's (?) which are used by trackies from time to time. I can't remember exactly how much but they wanted well over a 100 USD's. I really want to say $179, but I think I have blocked that traumatic experience from my mind so I can't be sure.

Greedy bast.....
