Default Looking for power meter for my bike setup

Hello,

I was wondering if I could get some help about this. I really can't afford to get a Powertap or SRM right now, so I'm looking for an indoor trainer with a power display.

Currently I'm using Polar speed and cadence sensors. Can recommend a trainer that has a downloadable power measurements?

Thanks,
Chris

A 1UpUSA trainer with Polar Power Output Sensor kit has worked well for me. The reported problem with trainer vibration has not emerged with the 1UpUSA trainer - it's just so stable.

You can likely eBay them both used for cheap.

Thanks for the advice, I'll go check them out.

I guess another question I have is, given that I have to get an indoor trainer. Should I just get a trainer with power (like the CycleOps electronic, Cateye) or a fluid trainer and a powertap or SRM.

Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

If funds allow i would definitely go with getting a normal trainer and a Power Tap or SRM. This is by far the most versatile combination allowing you to collect data both indoors and out.

During the Vuelta we're running a promotion for discounts on a PT or PT or SRM with coaching. Please give me a shout on ric@cyclecoach.com

Cheers
Ric
