Default MS 150 Ride

Dear Fellow Cyclists,

On September 10, 2005, I will join more than 1,300 cyclists for the 17th annual MS 150 Magical Mystery Bike Tour in New Bern, NC. I will be riding 100 miles on Saturday and 100 miles on Sunday to help end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis, a chronic, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system that strikes people in the prime of life. Last year, more than 1,200 cyclists and volunteers raised more than $925,000 to help end the devastating effects of MS. We hope to surpass last year’s success by raising $1,000,000, but we cannot do it alone.

I am asking for your help in this challenge. By making a pledge on my behalf, you will support national research efforts to find the cause and cure for MS in addition to helping fund local programs for more than 3,400 people in Eastern North Carolina who live with and reach beyond the challenges of MS each day. In the past 15 years, significant advances have been made in the treatment of MS, particularly for those who are newly diagnosed.

My goal is to raise at least $ _1,000_ . Please help me reach this goal! For your convenience, you may fill out the form below and return it to me. If you wish, you can enclose your check, made payable to the National MS Society, with this form. Don’t forget, you can sponsor me online at a secured Web site: www.nationalmssociety.org/pledge and simply type in my name (George McKim) in the form under “Participant” on the pledge page then select the state (North Carolina) and then click on the “search” button and my name and info will come up and then click on the “Epledge” button, fill out the form and click on submit to make a secure donation with your credit card. I will be informed via e-mail of your pledge.

Thank you so much for your support of me and for your interest in multiple sclerosis!

Sincerely,

George McKim

As a person with MS, it gratifies me immensely to know that the two of you are involved in this. Even if you don't raise much money, yo still give hope.

Peace,
