Default Need advice for pacific coast tour!

Hey I'm fifteen right now, and planning on taking a tour from where I just moved to in Seattle, Washington, down near San Fransisco, Cali next summer, and I'll be sixteen by then. Problem is, I have NO idea where to start. I'm willing to do anything, but I need advice on where I should start for planning a trip like that (finding camp sites, partners, etc.). The only thing I've got is a $200 mountain bike which I'm sure won't do me any good for a tour. Does anyone know of any sites I can go for aided planning or have personal advice?
