i use the smart lighting system on my bike.. 2 halogen bulbs, one like any normal light kinda lights area in front of me.. the other is like a car headlight full beam lights up like a nuke...
my problem is i wanna buy a spare battery i can carry in the camelbak for my longer rides at night.. it is 6v 4.5ah... my other question is can i get one with a different ah. than 4.5 that will last longer between charges as this one on full beam runs for around an hour or so... but on the smaller one it lasts for around five hours.. I would like one that would last for a lot longer if poss... I am in the uk so would prefer to buy form the uk i live in london but am prepared if i cant find it to buy outside london

You could look at a battery from an electroics supply house. I mated up a emergency light battery pack to run a light, worked great, sadly it weighed a ton, or is that a tonne? I'm not sure if tandy sells them, but you could start there, good luck, I hope that helps. |

thanks... i tried our local maplins... the shop responsible for tandy (good ole tandy I miss them) closing down in london.. i was thinking as i got two beams on it... hehe i could use one battery for the small beam and one for the high one... if i can get the stick shaped batteries ya can get i should be able to fix velcro strap to them and wrap them round the frame tube i would however need to ensure each beam had a different switch but the wires could be kept together with seperate plugs for the battery packs... bit radical i know but i wanna make sure it lasts the distance while i am out that main beam is a car drivers nightmare... they dont dip their lights.. i force em to with a shot to the eyeball... i was thinking of changing to 12v bulbs maybe but the batteries may be too heavy...
