Oh man, I had the worse wet commute today... it wasn't even raining heavily
I have never been so dirty ever from a commute to work, actually, I've never been this dirty from any sort of cycling. I rode through camelia/rosehill along Grand Avenue... I was filthy, like cement like sediment was stuck to everything.... it took so long to clean my legs and wash down my nike spray jacket... Luckily I rode my old Apollo commuter, it was covered in crap and it was all through the gears too... lots of fun cleaning it tonight Not pleasant.... Anyone know how to get around this prob...

Get full length fenders - daggy or not. I have fenders on all my bikes: Giant Sedona: Zefal mutants, not full length, crap gets dumped on the FD bad. Giant Innova S/S project bike: Pulled a nice set of full length aluminium mudguards off a rubbish collection bike. Giant CRX2: SKS chromo-plastics. These look great. Pity the CRX2 has less-than-perfect clearance, I really struggled and have to grind away a small part of the fork today to make the front ones fit without rubbing the tyre. |
