Default Cycling Festival & Show hit Sydney

The bike show alternates between Sydney & Melbourne each year, with Sydney's turn in 2005, as well as a great new venue at The Dome, Sydney Olympic Park!

Australia’s only bike expo lands at Sydney Olympic Park on 22 and 23 October as part of a Festival of Cycling not to be missed. There is something for everyone, with the latest cycling gear, professional rider demonstrations, hottest cycling fashions and much more on display over the weekend.

It’s never just about having a look around. Expand your horizons by attending a seminar from our great range of informative sessions. Gather ideas for your next holiday in the Where to Ride cycle tourism section. Take a spin on a wide variety of bikes on the test track, from recumbents to scooters, road bikes and mountain bikes.

“The build up for this year's Show has been very strong,” commented Assistant Show Director, Gary Hunt. “We're expecting record crowds.

“There'll be something to interest every visitor,” said Mr Hunt. “We have a schedule packed full of entertainment.”

Other exciting events taking place across the weekend include the opening round of the national mountain cross series, held on a brand new mountain cross course near the P5 car park in Sydney Olympic Park. The Bicycling Australia Mountain Cross will take place on Friday 21 October with race action starting at 7pm.

Saturday 22 October sees Olympic Boulevard taken over by ultra fast road racers in the Olympic Boulevard Criteriums. This event is open to racers of all ages.

Sunday’s events include the Portfolio Partners Sydney Spring Cycle, which will see up to 10,000 cyclists arriving at the Overflow, as well as an all-day Festival of Cycling which will include entertainment, market stalls and activities for the whole family.
