Default Bike Blowout - any good?

Hey,
Anyone in Toronto know if the "6th Annual Bike Blowout Sale" in Exhibition place this weekend is worth going to at all?

Thanks,
littlefitzer

I was at the bike blow out. To tell you the truth I wasn't really impressed with the majority of prices. There were alot of beautifully bikes there for sure but if I'm going to be spending that much on a bike I don't mind paying a little more at the bike shop and receive a proper fitting and a year of free service and adjustments. What I would have liked to see is a small selection of inexpensive road bikes. Something a commuter like myself isn't going to mind locking up and walking away from for 12hours, but if you had the budget for a $1000+ purchase, the possibilities were endless. And there was a steady stream of bikes flowing out the door.

Actually I was hoping on getting a led light and a lock, but was hard pressed to find any at all, and when i did i wasn't moved by the price to make a purchase.

There were a large section of shorts to chose from, but non that I seen had much a shammy.

I was at the sale last year as well and I guess it was pretty much the same. Same vendors in the same locations. One difference was a group taking orders for Tour de France bicycle tours.

Although it was exciting to see all them bikes in one place, I think the term blowout was loosly used.
