Default need help buying new bike

hi everyone,

ok, i have $1200 and i want a road bike with a quality frame, groupset, and durability. i'll be using it for fitness, and group rides, and perhaps racing. i'm 5"11, 15, male, and reasonably fit. i weigh 78kg. (is there anything else you need to know?) i'm looking for drop bars, i hate flat bars, and a triple chainwheel would be good as i'm not much of a climber. i live in the S/E suburbs of melbourne by the way.
what do you suggest?

thanks for any ideas,

john

Giant OCR3, (or maybe even an OCR2 if you can bargain down)
Avanti Monza
Specialized Allez
Learsport 7700
Cytek Vincenza

That should get you started looking...

..... Felt F-100, F-90.... http://www.feltracing.com/HOME.html

A 9 speed/triple, F-80, will be better value than an 8 speed.

Where are you looking at the Cytek, on the site they seel for $1500, and i'm not sure if thats Aus or Us. but all of them are great, thanks guys. i'm thinking along the lines of the cytek, the apecialised, or one of the OCR's at the moment, all seem like good bikes. i cant believe you can find sumwhere that sells a bike with 105 for $1200!

thanks guys,

john

Cytek are an AU brand, so their prices are AUD... they're well known for their sub A$2k full Ultegra bike.

Cheers,

The Learsport 8000 is on sale at $1119 at the moment (or was at the GVBR) It's full 105 and Dads one doesn't seem to have any problems.
