Default CA Sea Otter

I'm thinking about going to Sea Otter this year, or technicall next year I suppose. I was wondering if anyone has gone and could share stories. The more good news, the more likely I'll go, that is why I'm asking. Thanks.

By the way, I'm new to this site. My name is Ryland and I'm on the UC Santa Cruz cycling team. I've been riding road since about May and I'm wokring on getting a decent mountain bike to explore that.

Well, I'm not sure if you're asking from a spectator or participant POV, but, I've gone as a spectator several times and it's always been worth it because it's one of the few events in the US that's truly family friendly and has something for everyone. I go mainly because I used to work in the bike industry and I get to catch up with some of my friends there, plus I get to watch the road circuit race with my boys on the world famous Laguna Seca road course. The mtn biking x-country and downhill races are also very exciting (most of those guys are nuts! ) There's also a road ride that is open to regular joes who just want to go on a ride with a bunch of other people.

Anyway, all I can say is if you've never been, you should go in '06; heck, you're a 'Slug, you've got the time...take it from an Aggie.
