This is hilarious.
I dropped by the Pedal Magazine Forum. I laughed my ass off! Today is March 2, 2006 The last post on Pedal's forum was: Tue Feb 14, 2006 11:30 pm curtisr Used to be there was about 1000 posts a week. Beenjammin' Sadavoy, Pedal Magazine's owner and editor is such a clown. I told him his forum would die without my writing and it has. Tell you what, Benjy The Shabby Editor, for a price I will begin writing on your forum again to revive it. Or it can sit there idle, an embarassment to you and source of glee to me.... What a hypocrite Pedal Magazine Editor, Brenjamin Sadavoy is. He bans me form his web forum, thus killing it, but list me among the major contributors to his rag!
Celebrates 18th Birthday by pedalmag.com April 1, 2006 (Toronto, ON) - Pedal Magazine is now legal in most provinces celebrating its 18th birthday today as Canada's national cycling mag. Pedal's inaugural national edition back in 1989 featured Eon D'Ornellas on the cover. Initially a tabloid publication printed on newsprint Pedal evolved over the years into a full colour glossy publication as it is today. Many of Canada's top riders, cycling notables, writers and photographers have contributed to the magazine over the years with too many to list including Roger Sumner, Kelly Ann Carter-Erdman, Lister Farrar, Patrick Van de Wille, Susan Brown, Joan Jones, Paul Jurbala, Alison Sydor, Steve Bauer, Michael Barry, Chris Matthews, Marcel Mullholland, Val Davidge, Matt Hansen, Heinz Ruckemann, Alex Stieda, Brent Mudry, Paul Newitt, Susan Palmer-Komar, Blake Jorgenson, Elladee Brown, William Humber, Tim Lefebvre, Ed Arzouian, Rob Jones, Mike Badyk, Laura Robinson, Kevin O'Brien, Suzan Bianchi, Marlene Hielema, Leslie Anthony, Sandra Walter, Erin Carter, Jim Couper and many more... We apologize to the many people we did not include and thank everyone for their contributions in helping us reach this milestone. Cheers! |

To anyone new to this forum, what's funny is that I'm sure had Pedal Magazine NOT mentioned Eddie A, he would be saying that Sadavoy was a hypocrite for not mentioning him, after ALL of his posts, "contributions", and articles for Pedal.
One other point of amusement. Eddie is quoted somewhere in here (I can't find it, but I've seen him say it somewhere, here, Pedal. CC, can't recall) as saying something like "Ha! Without me, the Pedal forum will die. Who cares!" But, apparently folks, someone does care - Ed! (Of course now he will blast me for not quoting him verbatim, or say I'm lying. But to that I say Good Day Sir!) Quote:

So you are confirming the Pedal Forum is indeed dead. Correct?
Just like I expected. Sadavoy shot himself in the foot. |

Why not be a little more cryptic and in that way avoid stating the obvious. While I was posting on both CC anmd Pedal forums their viewership and replies was WAY up. Now CC is dull and Pedal is dead.
Can it be any more clearer? Look at the CCA now, it is still a disgrace. Pedal and CC will not say that aloud. Look at the so-called sponsorships Sebragno is bring in, hotels rooms at a chain riders NEVER use and discounted tax return assistance. Big fuckin' deal. Is there a sponsor for the Canada Series? Is there even a real series? Are there any new events? You have the top spots at the CCA filled with people who know NOTHING about the sport and it shows. |

Still unable to address the isssues, huh? Google me, you'll find a newspaper article and photo about the job. Fact, the Canadian cycling forums are now jokes or dead without me. Fact, Kim Sebrango and Steve Lacelle know nothing about cycling. They are destroying the sport in Canada. That's Bill Kinash's legacy. New CCA President Pierre Blanchard would do well to sack them both. Sebrango is getting CCA members a discount on their tax returns!!!!!! Good grief, what a farce. $50,000 a year from the CCA and she is doing promotions for H&R Block? What is that sponsorship worth financially to the CCA????? Where's the money???? |

just curious as to why the ed basher(s) are more concerned about his gainful employment rather than issues concerning canadian cycling. i mean, unless you're his mom, it seems a bit weird.
hell, i'm no longer even involved with cycling and i still log on to see what he's got to say. might be a good idea for the "ediot's" of the world to do the same. just a thought. |

It is all very sad.
There is nothing new happenning in cycling in Canada. Teams and events are gone. They still sign the same give-nothing sponsors like Tim Hortons. They have a new Marketing Director who has been there for ONE YEAR, and there is next to nothing to show for it. She should be sacked immediately. Is there a decent sponsorship for the Canada Cup? No. Any new events? No. Has there been any projects fuided with that supposed Legacy Fund? Not that we know of and there's supposed to be a new Commuincations perosn to tel us this stuff. It is a disgrace. Pierre Blanchard should clean house and rid the sport of Kinash's deadwood (Lacelle and Sebrango) who know nothing about cycling and probably little about anything else. We knew we were in trouble when this poser signed "MBA" beside his name in a press release. Kim Sebrango's record of mediocrity was the last thing needed at the CCA. We need bold moves, instead we're getting HR Block to discount CCA members tax returns! What a joke... I have been making the same complaints for thre years now and NOTHING has been done. Steve Lacelle the Executive Director of the CCA has pushed more paper and that's it. What will it take, the complete collapse of every discipline of the sport in Canada? |
