It looks a decent bike, don't know much about US pricing, but... if you are so inexperienced that you are asking people on a forum whether this is a decent bike, chances are you are a newbie.
Don't buy on line until you know what you are doing. Go to a few bike shops, explain what you want, have them fit you properly (this does not only mean the frame, but also the seat height, cranks, handlebars, etc)... and purchase from them. That way you will be 'looked after' and able to return to them for regular maintenance, until you know what you are doing. Happy shopping and riding!
