I'm in Hampton...haven't found many rides here though. The BikeBeat on Victory has a ride every Sat morning but they are pretty intense (20mph average over a 42 mile route). There are a few rides up in Williamsburg that sounds pretty good, just haven't found time to get up there. I usually just ride around the flightline at Langey though, the roads are pretty lousy but it's a good 6.5 mile loop.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner than this. I feel the same way you do, the rides up north are pretty intense. I'm just getting back into it again and even now I haven't been able to get back into like I would like to, so might as well call me a life long newbie! LOL I tried riding to base a few mornings and even in the morning the traffic is crazy. No respect or very little anyway. I have been on the trail at Sandy Bottom, not too bad. No big hills for big air or anything like that, but a good ride for the weekend. You could go around a couple times, one time one way another time the other way and also take a couple of the small side trails and have a decent workout. There are a couple others that I have found but haven't been able to get out on yet. Oh, there is another decent one at the Newports News Pak/golf course. Maybe we can get together some weekend and ride one of these, one of the others or even just on base. If you'd like you can reply to my work email douglas.swanson@langley.af.mil Again, sorry it took awhile to reply, don't come to this site too much sometimes. Oh, are you a mountain biker or a road biker? Mountian biker here myself.

I'm in Virginia Beach, but I don't like riding on the road with a big group. I do ride mountainbikes with whoever, but I am out of practice.

Hi,

I am planning on racing the Crystal City Classic NRC race on June 16th in Arlington. Just wondering if you could tell me how long it would take to drive from Newark, New Jersey?

Regards,

Matt

I'm up in Richmond, I just got into road, I try to do about 20 miles and looking to increase that but just learning some better routes has been my main issue.
