I've just arrived in Malta 2 days ago. I've done london to Genova by bike, took a ferry to Palermo and travelled roughly along the northern and eastern coast of sicily (taking a "shortcut" through the mountains in messina) down to Pozzallo (in Ragusa).
It was my first really long tour and it was great and I met many interesting people, but unfortunately I got robbed twice in France and I was left with only my bike, mobile phone, tent, one wallet and sleeping bag. I'm mostly sad about the camera and all the photos I had on the memory cards. I had to buy some basic stuff over there to continue the trip. I am so lucky I guess!;/ However I'm already thinking of the next trip. Next time I'll be more careful. |
