Default Blackburn cancels road races

Anyone know why Blackburn (Melbourne racing club) has cancelled its upcoming road races. Will this affect the Open Tour they have planned in November?

Quote Blacburn website--
We regret that we will not be staging these two events this season. If you are concerned and would like to discuss the cancellations please phone 0407 308 755 or attend the next club meeting (Wed 7:30pm - 13th Sep 2006 at the BBN clubhouse).

I'm guessing there was permit problems or a lack of available marshalls.

I'd be thinking it'll be permits. Both police & councils are making it much tougher to comply with the permits these days. The Northern combine has has 2 permits refused so far this year...as against none refused in the previous 5 years...lifes getting tougher for racers these days
