Unhappy Accident compensation

i was crashed sideway by a car coming out from a minar road weeks before.
I am so lucky that it is only a minor injury, but my bike is badly damaged.
I have been contacted by the driver insurance company and the insurer admitted that it was his fault.
So i would like to ask the advice of either i deal with the Churchill directly or i will be better off go through solitior?
Also, do any ppl have any sort of idea of level of compensation they offer in an accident?

thanks guys

I deal with such matter in the US, but I am not familiar with your structure of settlement there.
From my perspective I might attempt to settle with insurance carrier initially, which might be quicker, but only if they offered me full replacement cost and not actual cash value determined by depreciation.
If that does not work to your satisfaction you should have some period of time ,maybe a year or more, before the statute for filing a claim expires.Never sign anything unless you fully understand the document and are completely satisfied with the agreement.
Again demand full replacement cost.

Full replacement cost +medical expenses+lost income (if any)+nervous shock (if any).Propose a figure to the insurance company and mention legal action. The insurance company know that a solicitor will add his fee to the above figure and as they have admitted liability (be quite certain on this score i.e.have it in writing) the eventual cost will be higher to them. Don't allow them to devalue your bike on the grounds that it has been used and is therefore of lesser value than a new bike. The time that you take to find another bike in the same condition would also be compensable.
Depending on the type of bike...insurance companies have considerable purchasing power and may be able to obtain a discount on a comparable new bike.
Sometimes you can end up with a better bike than you originally had.A mate scored a brand-new custom built after his high value race bike was wrecked.
If the insurance company wants you to obtain quotes for repair...be aware that the repair costs may exceed the new cost and ensure that the frame is thoroughly checked and things like paint scratches et. are covered. If any repaired component subsequently fails the insurance company will deny liability and you will then have an issue with the repairer.

One more thing. Insurance carriers are notorious for delay hoping that you will go away.
That's why the threat of latent injuries are used as a lever.
