Default Levi & teh US Pro Cycling championship

I'm watching the OLN coverage of the US Pro Cycling Championship and I noticed that Levi Liepheimer is wearing a walkie talkie. Who's he talking to? His wife? No one else from his team is there.

Of course, he's moving over to Discovery, and GH won the race... after "beating out" Levi in the final lap. And the Discovery team was supporting Levi also.

Something not very cricket about the whole situation.

Depends on what you call cricket. In my opinion, someone working for a future teammate who you will be expecting to work for you in the big races is just good strategy to me. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I think the surprise is if you thought Levi wasn't working for Georgie at USPRO. Of course he was.

Levi, Zabriskie and George shared a "team" radio...

The radios are for speaking with the other team riders or if just a solo rider, with the team car. The riders use it to discuss tactics, race conditions, who's attacking, who's out, etc.

They also use them to find out the latest gossip, like who's Lance dating (Hilton) and to see what time dinner is and see if someone is taking a pee break and if they are can the DS take a picture. Lots of stuff. Not just cycling tactics.
