Default 700C Tubes in 28" Tires OK?

A friend has a Canondale touring bike with 28" x 1 3/8" Conti tires. We're overhauling it and want to put in new tubes. In our area we're having a very hard time finding 28" tubes with presta valves, but it seems like a 700Cx28 out to work fine. Has anyone ever used 700C tubes in 28" tires without any problems? Thanks!

Continental Tour 28 ALL should fit the best. Yes, 700cx28 should be OK too, the rim diameter is almost the same, 622 vs 630mm, the width, 1&1/8 vs 1&3/8 should be no problem.

Thanks George. We put a pair of 700C tubes on and it looks like they fit just fine.

Cheers! - nojiri
