Default Sidi Dominator pricing in Aus?

I'm looking at buying Dominators or Eagle's. I've checked out Sidi Aus website and dealers but it's not helpful in pricing and availability from dealers.

So what's pricing on the Dominator/Eagle and can folks suggest a decent vendor? If I can't source them locally, I'll buy from totalcycling.

I live in Darwin and both LBS's don't stock Sidi.

I don't recommend buying cycling shoes sight-unseen. Fit is critical, so even if you do pick up a bargain if they don't fit it's a waste of time.

If you have no choice, then your best bet is to wait until one of the online vendors has them for sale. Probikekit.com has Geniuses for A$219, which is cheaper than AU wholesale.

I popped into Athletes Foot (Kudos to Darwin branch for their assistance) to check to see whether my feet are wide/narrow and will provide that information to the vendor upon sale query. The Genius's are nice looking shoes but the Dominator/Eagle have a bit of utility about them that I'm not sure the Genius offers being that it is a road shoe.

Yeah i was doing the same search for the Eagles, not really offered in Australia online stores. If you know your size/ correct size for Sidi, there is a shop on Ebay UK who sells and ships overseas, price would be about $209 AUD about 14UK pounds to ship here. I don't really want to promote the link PM me if you want the link. I like to Support LBS but money talks esp when savings are significant. I guess you have a weigh up warranty or lack of.

Cheers

The two LBS's in Darwin don't stock Sidi anyway, so the only way I can get them is either interstate or OS anyway. I have no idea what Sidi's cost locally as the online sites I've visited don't list sizes/pricing - invaluable info when you're trying to decide upon a purchase. It takes a couple of Brit based stores to tell me what what sort of pricing I should be looking at.

I'll probably order shoes from totalcycling.

wise words indeed. i just bought a set of genius 5.5 hi-techs in a size 46. my previous shoes (not sidi) were a size 44 . luckily i had the opportunity to try them on locally first.

fyi, i bought them from totalcycle. (probike = much cheaper postage, but they were out of my size)the shoes took 8 days, including weekends, to arrive on my doorstep from ordering, and i could track them all the way here. plus they replied to an email the same day. v good.

give SHM a call for prices. they are really good on the service side of the caper.

Hi,
Just new but was looking for the same thing in melbourne. Went to about 6 different shops listed on the Sidi Aus website as "Dealers" but they either didn't have any Sidi stock or didn't have any current stock. ie. Dominator or Eagle 5.
I contacted Sidi Aus who have advised me to call "Richard Ayling our distributor in Victoria I am sure he can help you 0413611245 we have Eagle 5s in stock here so will not be a problem".
Maybe give him a try as it would be cheaper to ship interstate then from OS.
Good Luck

Thanks Rockslayer,

Can you email the link to me as I too, like so many others are looking at the Eagle 6. The only thing close is "BikeTiresdirect" who have them for US$219.
Have tried Australia but sadly there is a lack of stock and Sidi Australia (Ezitour) can only supply for about AUS$500-600. Big Difference.

Check out ProBikeKit. Fixed shipping charge.

Similar to others, it's best to try your first pair in person, at least the size for that brand of shoes. Each brand's sizing varies by a small margin. But once you know your size for a brand, then you are pretty much free to pick a different model.
