Does anyone know of any five day tours in Italy open to amateurs that are worth entering. My goals are to experience some spectacular scenery and meet the locals as well as compete.

Hi, I can suggest you some different proposals but only for 2004. (april, may, september). These are tours for amateurs who likes beautiful landscapes, beaches, spectacular hills, quiet raods, ancient architectures, but also gourmet restaurant, local cafes.... in Gabicce Mare near to Rimini, in Marche region. You can choose self guided tour or organized tour. Visiting.www.alexanderhotel.it you'll find all infos about self guided tour with the opportunity to ride with others cyclists. From the half of october on the same web site you'll fined some examples of guided tours: - wine cellars and olive oil mills tour - eco bike tour I've already experienced a holiday in Gabicce Mare in Hotel Alexander and It was wonderful. high quality service for cyclists.
