Stan's Sealant Drying Out Quickly
 I just started using Stan's system on my Bontrager tubeless wheelset. Both front and rear seal up fine for about a week. After two weeks, the rear begins to leak. I noticed that after a couple weeks the sealent in the rear tire is dried out. I'm confused because the front does not have this same problem. The sealent in the front stays (as does the air presure) for well over a month. If anyone can shed some light on why the Stan's sealent in the rear is drying out so quickly, I'd love to hear your ideas and experiences with Stan's. thanks in advance |

I haven't experienced different drying rates with stans sealent. Maybe your rear tire had problems sealing and you lost a bit of sealent initially
Generally I find that when the sealent dries out the tire still keeps its seal, it just loses the ability to seal new punchers. I find also that over time less sealent get absorbed by the tire and it takes longer for the tire to dry out. |
