Default '00 SID xc Top-Cap replacements

I love my '00 SID xc fork but I hate the special inflation nipple that it requires to air up.
Is it possible to replace the original top-caps with newer versions that just use standard scharder valves??

thanks in advance.

Id like to find this out too! Could you possibly by two of the special adaptors and just leave them in?
