Hi All,
I have had great difficulty finding really small size women's knick. Does anyone know where I can find some around Sydney. I currently have 1 x Body Torque xs knick which is perfect, but that was the last pair from Woolys Wheels and they are from 2005 stock. I've also purchased 1 x XS Castelli knick but the chamois is quiet large on me, I brough this as a spare for emergency use for my coming Oxfam Australia Cycling Challenge in Cambodia. I've only picked up cycling in the last two months because of this challenge. So I don't know much about cycling gears and where I can find reasonable price knicks. Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated. Ummm after reading about saddle problem, I am starting to think whether I should look at this option too. I only have 3 weeks left to do last minute adjustment before my challenge. Thanks. Regards, Kim |

Kim, try Ground Effect for knicks - they are available by mail order only
http://www.groundeffect.co.nz I find their chamois is a little narrower between the legs than most other brands of knicks and is also shaped a little better at the back. As far as saddles go, how do you find the comfort of your current saddle? What is the longest distance you have ridden on that saddle? What distances will you be riding during the Oxfam Challenge? Some saddles feel fine for 10 or 20 kilometres but become really uncomfortable after 40 or 50 kilometres. |

Hi matagi
Thank you for the advise. I will be cycling a total distance of 480kms over a period of 8 days. Minimum distance per day is 70kms and maximum of 100kms. I haven't purchase a saddle yet, I've been using the saddle that came with my $99 bike which I find reasonably comfortable after a 50kms ride. I haven't try completing a distance of 100kms yet so not quiet sure how I would feel. I was hoping to go for a 100kms cycle today but unfortunately it rained in Sydney today. |

If you find your current saddle comfortable, then I would stick with it. 3 weeks out from a major cycling trip is a little too close to start changing things on the bike (unless they are damaged or worn) especially something like a saddle which can take time to "wear in".
