Default Question Regarding DNA use to detect Doping.

OK this might be a silly question but I do not have a very technical background regarding Doping science so hopefully someone can enlighten me:

Besides using the DNA to check against the bags of blood found in O.P., blood tranfusion with someone else's blood and Testing a bag of needles drop in a trash can outside a team hotel.

How else can DNA be used to detect doping? Or are the riders playing with their genes now?

Thanks in advance.
