hi all im new to this so god help! lol. i've got 160mm hydraulic brakes bolted on rst gilla plus t6 120mm forks. i want to upgrade to 203mm disc but one of my local dealers says the forks will snap as soon as i touch the front brake? anyone using this setup? any advice would be great.

Over time this would severely damage the fork. 180mm rotor is enough for most applications. Your fork is not suitable for any applications that require a big disk so there is no point upgrading the disk. what is the spec of the rest of the bike? |

i'd reccomend if you were gonna do 203mm you would be doing DH'ing
