If a bike currently has a 1" threaded headset, can it be converted to a 1-1/8 threadless in order to accept more available shocks currently on the market? Or do I need to find a 1" threadless. Either way I know I'll need to either switch out headsets and get a different set of head tube bearings. Bike in question is a Specialized Rockhopper comp.
Thanks Mike |

You will need a 1" steer tube. You might consider getting a new frame or bike if you want to upgrade your fork. Going through the trouble and expense for a 1" may not be worth it in the long run. |
