Lightbulb Bike Pumps Good or Bad?

‘Hi! I am currently studying for my A levels I am in the research stage of looking at ways to re-design a bike pump, for my final piece I have to complete a major individual project worth 27% of the mark, and for this I have chosen to design a ‘better’ bicycle pump.

With this in mind, I have recently begun researching the market and other products available at the moment. It would be really useful is to get some idea of what issues real cyclists consider important in the design of cycle pumps.

If you read this and, like me find most current pump designs to be very poor, here is a chance to vent your frustrations. Please let me know why you think mini-pumps are good or bad, how you think they could be changed, whether they are too expensive for what they are etc etc’.

I would like to see one that has a fold out handle and stand and a tube so you can use it like a floor pump. I want it to be light, capable of delivering 160psi to a road tire with ease and within three minutes, and a built in gauge. And I want it to come in a varient of colors to match different bikes.

All of this for $20 please
