Question shimano altus/acera ci deck plus shifter glitch

I just bought a 24 speed, dual suspension, front disk brake Schwinn 240-DSK equiped with Altus/Acera Ci- Deck Plus V-brake/shifters. It's now been about a month or so and after a nice, rainy, muddy ride through my hometown's best trails yesterday, the rear derailer is almost impossible to shift back up into the top three sprockets. I'm stumped. Anyone ever have this prob?

Try checking between the screw and the plate which limits the travel. Sometimes dirt or a small pebble can get caught in there. If not see if you have full travel with the cable disconnected. Maybe there is mud inside the cable.
Good Luck
