A friend that rides Fixies convinced me to try out singlespeeds. Altough riding a fixie is not my thing, the simplicity of a singlespeed is what interests me. I stripped down my Giant MTB and laced up a White Industries eccentric hub. I ride mainly flatland paths and dirt roads so I don't really miss having 21 speeds. I love how quite it is going over bumps. No derailleurs clanking around! Next is new forks and a black paintjob.
