Hi,
I'm new to this forum and from Melbourne, Australia. I'm interested in becoming a bike technician/mechanic but don't know how to get into the area. No shops are willing to employ me. They complain about not having experience but how do I get that experience when no one is willing to give me a go. I play around with bikes at home to try and get the experience. What should I do please? Thanks. |

You might want to approach your LBS offering to Intern for a season. You wouldn't get paid, but you will get the experience to enable you to negotiate a paying position later on.
