Hi,

I was looking through the singlespeed pages on this forum a few weeks back. I'm from Sydney so can't speak from experience in Melb but came across a place called www.shifterbikes.com

Can be viewed in http://www.cyclingforums.com/t334201.html

Good luck

Cheers
Mike

Just order the stuff from overseas or eBay, or try the Trading Post or Bicycle Recycle.

Seriously, if you're just going to build a fixie beater, all you need is a track hub and a frame with horizontal dropouts. All the rest of the stuff can just be layabout/bargain bin/look what I found in the shed/ track or road stuff.

You can buy 06 Fuji track bikes from $475 to $575 from goldcross cycles. I know a guy who uses one as a single speed commuter.
