Has anyone seen Detour de france? The preview looks good.
See http://www.detourdefrancemovie.com/ Someone I know has heard about it, but no one seems to have seen it. I wonder when it will be released on DVD.

This one seems like the cycling movie of the year except for the 'gay pride' pretend Worlds shirt to placate the lawyers at the UCI (AKA WCF) |

Detour de france was reviewed in the Age quite a while back. I think there was a small screening somewhere in Melbourne. My father has seen early cut DVD copy. A mate of his is one of the 'stars'.

A premier was held in Geelong about 2 weeks ago. A few people I know went (I bloody had to work
) and reckoned it was really good. |

Sounds interesting - do you think it will ever make it to the USA?

Apparently there is a US distributor. I think (not sure) its World Cycling Productions but I'm not 100% sure.

I've seen it. It's piss funny.
It's also something you could show to non cyclists and have them appreciate it, and learn something about cycling in the process. ezydvd have it in their catalog, out of stock right now but I've ordered a copy. |

I saw the premier in Geelong and I really enjoyed it. It is a good laugh and I agree that persons without an interest in cycling would also enjoy it.

Not only did she like, but we're now talking about actually going over, one day, and see Le Tour first hand.
