I have been doing some 3x20's lately on the CT, and find that when I am doing indoor intervals, I do not adjust my position at all for the entire 20'. I have been getting off the bike for 1-3' after I complete the interval, stretch the legs and back, then get back on and spin for 5', then start the next 20' interval. I find this really helps, as I am not stopping early because of a sore butt. When I ride outdoors it is not a problem because I am constantly shifting position, and can ride outdoors for hours.
Is getting off the bike between intervals detracting from the my goal of raising FTP? |

And as RapDaddyo would say: you can go home and have a cup of tea between intervals if you so wish. Tyson
