Default TdF wattage estimates

Does anybody have some idea what the leader group's wattage was on yesterday's final climb?

I'd estimate 6.2 to 6.6 W/kg.

They climbed the Aubisque in 43:15, Rasmussen is 175cm/59kg (bike is 6.8 kg) and http://www.kreuzotter.de/english/espeed.htm calculates around 365 to 385W for that.

Didn't really follow the Tour this year, but last year wasn't there a website featuring live wattage reporting? (or was it during the Giro )

Yes - see the SRM website for the live wattage data but none of those riders with SRM transponders were in the leading group on that climb.
