Hi - I am a newbie for sure and just getting into the swing. I ride about three times a week before work and a longer ride on weekend.
I have hydrated myself before rides (drinking water has not been usual for me) and take a drink about every 20 minutes. On a few recent rides, about 20 minutes in, I have started with a numbing pain in mid to lower back that within a few minutes just takes over whole lower back and little bit of stomach (On Saturday I was doubled over). I have to stop and am in agony for a few minutes - it goes away and generally does not come back. I did ride through it OK one. Question - is it just a stich I have to work through and / or could it relate to too much water intake? Thanks, David |

I'd go speak to my doctor if I were you.
