Default multi speed to single speed conversion. HELP!

Hi everyone. i recently broke the derailer on my peice of crap rhino mountain bike. at first i wanted to get a bmx bike, because i jump my bike alot. then i realized that the only reason that i wanted to get rid of my mountain bike, was because of the derailer, and the way it shifts gears when i land a large jump. i love the weight, and feel of the bike, so i have decided to convert it to a 1 speed bike. i have never really worked with bikes much, so i was wondering if anyone had any instructions, or reccomended parts. all help is appreciated.

THanks,
Parker
