Bike under 1K
Hi, I need some advice in buying a road bike. I need a bike under 1K. I will be riding it about 2 miles to work five days a week and also will be riding it for leisure from time to time. What bike would you recommend. I was thinking about the Trek 1000 but I know nothing about bikes. Thanks for your input.

You might consider a commuter bike that offers good performance on weekend rides and a more comfortable riding position for your ride to work and other around town uses. Check out the Trek 7.6 or 7.5 FX, Specialized Globe series, Cannondale Bad Boy series, Kona PhD, or any of the Kona Dews.
