Could be several things. So first; where's the hole? Is it on the inside, next to the rim, at the edge, are there two holes about an inch apart (snake-bite puncture) or is it definitely something coming through the tyre?

If it's an actual puncture then use better tyres; I'd recommend Schwalbe but there are many good makes that other riders swear by.

If the tires are inflated properly than you need beter tires. I recomend http://schwalbetires.com/marathon_plus_page
I replaced my rear tire after about 15000kms (all over Europe, all tipes of roads) without a flat.
cheers

schwalbe marathons are touring tyres..

go for Hutchinson python! they're comparetively cheaper than those touring ones, quite light and really puncture proof

And I don't know how is it possible to get flats so often, this year I toured all Scandinavia with a cheap shit tyres, something like xiang-wang or somthing and I didn't get any flats at all plus the bike was absolutely fully loaded and I did some really really harsh gravel washboards so.... the point is you need to put them up properly

cheers

Murphy's law.
I have had a penetration puncture on a new touring tyre that was guaranteed against such an event.

I also had this problem. Lat fall I moved to the Dallas area and decided to try and ride to work one or two times a week. I thought I would save some money, this was when gas was $3.20/gal and I figured the exercise would not hurt me any.

In any case, I literally, had 6 flats in a matter 6 weeks. That is almost every time I rode. I either did not make it due to a flat or I had a flat by that evening and could not ride home.

The tires are 26"x2" Hybrid tires. I changed tires with another bike I had, I changed rims with the same bike. I bought a tube with the goop in it that is supposed to stop small leaks... I took it to the local bike shop and they could not find anything. Yet I got another after my next ride.

To make this long story shorter, the problem turned out to be I was under inflating the tires. I am 200+ lbs and I was inflating to 45 lbs which, apparently, could not support my weight and the bumps. and if I hit a bump in the roadway I was crimping the tube. I now keep the tires at around 60-65 lbs and I have not had an issue since.

i have slime (http://www.slime.com/tiresealant/index.php) in my tyres as well as that they are schawlbe. before that i got about three flats in a few weeks (o.k so the third one was the repair undoing itself) , s**t happens.

You can definitely fix this.

Look at where the holes are in the tubes. Maybe you have a thorn in your tire that keeps puncturing tubes. Put the label of the tire where your valve is so you can check the tire inside whenever you have a flat.

Look for anything sticking out on the rim, make sure the rim tape covers the spoke holes and there aren't any metal filings or such in there.

Make sure you inflate your tires near their max pressure.

Use good quality tires, you get what you pay for. The Schwalbe Marathons mentioned above are great. Another great one is Continental Contact.

Two other options are green slime and those pucture strips, I forget what they're called. I've had really bad luck with green slime brand tubes personally, but there are others that swear by them.
