Our bike paths are pretty smooth and flat, but when I cross streets, here are always a bunch of curb bumps, path repairs, etc.
What is the best way to take those things without causing damage? Stand up, sit down, lean forward, etc.?

Stand up and try not to hit them at top speed! Standing will keep your tailbone from hurting.

I have a ramp attached to 6 ft arms which, in turn, are attached to my bike. When riding normally, the arms are vertically oriented with the ramp above my head. However, when I approach a bump, I pull back on an old Suntour downtube mounted shifter, on the left side of my downtube, which causes the ramp and arms to rotate forward. Once the ramp contacts the ground, the arms retract, pulling the ramp toward the bike and under it, causing the bike to jump over the bump. The arms then return to their normally stowed position.
I am selling custom installs of this sytem on bikes. |

It's funny you should mention that. I've got an anti-roadrunner rocket, last year's stock, with a wobbily launch stand, short fuse, and defective guidance control. Interested? |

I had the seatpost on my absolute lx switched to one with a suspension. Works wonders.
