Hallo everybody! I'm Italian and I've been in London in the period 2-9 august. I saw many things museum and especially parks and... No bikes!!! It's incredible, you simply have no bikes, no room for bike placing when you are at work (!!!!) and (of course) very strange road rules... This is not good, and contributes to have a polluted London
and also force yourself to stay in the tube a lot of time and to spend a lot of money... this is very sad!the thing that most interested me, though, was... the "concept" of the bike in your mind. I mean: I saw a lot of people riding track bikes in the city (???), and riding fast, too! This is very strange: me and my friends, when in town, use a traditional bike (you forgot your great tradition of Raleigh bikes......... a friend of mine has a collection of them... they're WONDERFUL!), and then, when we want to have some training we have a RACE bike... we do not use an hybrid bike like many of you...How can you go to work with a racing bike and LEAVE IT OUTSIDE??? In Italy it should last about 30 seconds before getting theft (also with the chain)... Remember that if you come to Italy training with me with mud covers on your bike, I'll laugh at you! ![]() |
