a 'simple' tourer ..?
Hi,
I'm in Paris and when scouting around for the bike that would take me on all my tours for the next twenty years, I'd more or less settled on a Dawes Ultra Galaxy (2,000€ / roughly US$ 2,900). Then I started scouting around the web and came across the Surly Long Haul Trucker, and was like, wow! It just looks right. Then a look at the Bike Buying pages of these forums brought me face to face with this .. http://fujibikes.com/2007/enlarge.asp?id=290 ... and that's also a very sexy bike, and only ~ US$ 900. Anyone here got any views? It has to be strong, light (but not featherweight), and reliable. It's going to be loaded up with front and rear panniers, tent, sleeping bag etc., and a Brooks B17. Well, that's one of my questions answered: FujiBikes Europe tell me that the tourer is no longer made.
