New question from Sweden:
If I am able to go 100K (60 miles) solo with an average speed of 28 km/h (17,5 mph), how fast could I go in a race or with a training group of 10 people. Of course I will take my share of pacing. Not the real Slim Shady |

You could go a lot faster in theory, but only if you and the other riders are able to hold a wheel (or draft) and share turns well.
When riding on someones wheel you could be using as much as 1/3 less energy than going on your own. Thats a big saving. When you go on the front you can afford to go harder than normal, knowing that you can recover when you get on the back. Hence the average speed of the group will be higher than solo riding.
